My name is Crystal Cooper and I am a proud graduate of Tuskegee University, the largest HBCU area wise.  I completed most of my graduate work at the University of West Georgia, including my Master's degree, Educational Specialist degree and my Leadership certification. I am very humbled to be recognized by my peers as the 2024-25 Teacher of the Year for Miller Grove Middle School. Some of my favorite hobbies include sports, listening to live music, live theater and of course...reading.  My favorite book of all time is Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH. But, I also love these titles as well: Kathleen Please Come Home, Island of the Blue Dolphins, Having Our Say, and The Westing Game. I am thrilled to share my lifelong love of reading with others and continue to impact young learners every single day.
